Royal BC Museum

Did you know ‘Royal’ in the Royal BC Museum’s name was approved by Queen Elizabeth II and bestowed by Prince Philip? In 1987, during a Royal Tour, the two approved the Royal title of the museum and history was made. Since its founding 138 years ago, the museum has seen a collection of incredible exhibits, with the current featured exhibit showcasing the incredible world of dinosaurs who once roamed our province.

Art Gallery of Greater Victoria

This one is for the art lovers. The Art Gallery of Greater Victoria has been showcasing art in its historic mansion location for over 70 years, and is now adjacent to seven modern art galleries. The collection boasts over 20,000 works of art, making it the largest public collection in BC, and prides itself on having a diverse assortment of exhibitions including showcases of our own Canadian, historical and world-class Asian collection.

BC Aviation Museum

Location: 1910 Norseman Road

Now, for the aircraft lovers! The BC Aviation Museum, located on the grounds of the Victoria International Airport in Sidney, houses over 40 aircrafts on display, making it the ultimate spot for those who want to learn more about the world of aviation. The Museum consists of a display area spread over two hangars, a classroom, a restoration workshop and a gift shop and you can even sit in the cockpit of a warplane!
