Family owned and operated, The Whale Centre in beautiful Tofino, BC offers guests the opportunity to witness majestic wildlife in their natural habitat. With over 36 years of experience of marine adventures, the team members at The Whale Centre are proud to be leaders in responsible whale watching, bear watching, bird watching and wildlife viewing.
Whale Watching Tours
Offering a 2.5 hour tour on either an open boat or covered cabin cruiser, The Whale Centre guide will take guests and venture out to common feeding areas near Long Beach, Vargas Island and Flores Island to view marine wildlife in their natural habitat. In addition to whales, guests will have an opportunity to see other marine life such as sea otters, seals, sea lions and a variety of seabirds.
Hot Spring Tours
Hop aboard their Covered Cabin Cruiser for a 1.5 hour ride to Maquinna Provincial Park. Once there guests will head to the geothermal pools, which are located at the end of a 2 km walk, and enjoy up to 2 hours soaking their worries away in the pools that begin at the waterfall and follow to the ocean’s edge.
Bear Watching Tours
Embark on an unforgettable experience with their bear watching tours. These tours provide visitors with an opportunity to observe black bears in their natural habitat. Plus the Bear Watching Tour is family friendly and perfect for guests who prefer to ride on calm and protected waters.
